The Italian Academy marks International Women's Day each March 8—and Women's History Month throughout March—by publishing interviews (available here below) that focus on the most pressing issues of our time.
The series was conceived by Barbara Faedda and has been organized by her annually since then.
In a special initiative in March 2024, the Academy welcomed an Italian parliamentary delegation as they traveled to New York to join the meeting of the UN’s Commission on the Status of Women (March 13): Senators Francesco Verducci and Simona Malpezzi; House Representatives Valentina Ghio, Annarita Patriarca, and Catia Polidori; Parliament Counselors Roberta D’Addio and Maria Teresa Calabro’; and Vice Consul Alessandra Oliva.
