Sanjay G. Reddy is professor of Economics at the New School for Social Research. At the Italian Academy he will focus on the political economy of nationalist populisms, seeking to put these in a comparative and global perspective that will help to understand their common assertion at this moment in history.  He will examine how and why conventional economic and political theories must be extended to make sense of this phenomenon.
