Allison Jeffrey received her MFA from Columbia University in 1989 and has held artists residencies at the Ucross Foundation, the Millay Colony and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Before working at the Italian Academy, she was employed at the National Museum of the American Indian (Bronx, NY) in Collections and Archives, assisting with repatriation efforts and preparing for the museum’s move to Washington DC.
