On the body and soul of the Renaissance artist: nutrition, health, dreams, works
Studied Art History in Munich, Florence and Frankfurt, primarily specializing in Italian Renaissance Art. Holds professorships at the Universities of Jena and Aix-la-Chapelle, since 2003 at the University of Basle. From 2009-2014 he directed the Centre Allemand d'historie de l'art in Paris. Since 2013 he is Speaker of the international research group "Bilderfahrzeuge. Aby Warburg's Legacy and the Future of Iconology."
