Talea Ensemble presents “Suggestioni: Out of Italy.”
World Premieres by Gardella and Vanoni; US Premieres by Franceschini, Gervasoni, and Nieder; and works by Billone and Francesconi
Musicians include soprano Jo Ellen Miller, conductor James Baker, and the Talea Ensemble’s Executive Director and percussionist Alex Lipowski.
Composers Stefano Gervasoni, Pierluigi Billone, Fabio Nieder, and Gabriele Vanoni will be in attendance.
The Talea Ensemble presents “Suggestioni: Out of Italy” at Columbia University’s Italian Academy for Advanced Studies. The Talea Ensemble is dedicated to introducing new, groundbreaking music to the world and increasing awareness and appreciation of contemporary music. Through their concerts in New York and abroad, The Talea Ensemble gives the distinctive voices of conductors an opportunity to be heard by broad audiences, performing their innovative works alongside established contemporary repertoire.
